Wow I can't believe it has been so long since I posted. The summer just vanished. I am back in school on both accounts. I have a great 1st grade class. I am also in my masters classes for the semester. I feel that this is the most I have ever had on my plate. I live with and take care of my Grandpa and my Husband (ha ha). I work full time as a teacher and I am going to school to get my masters and hopefully be all finished in May. Still no calling in my ward. Maybe that is a blessing. I would love to be more involved but then my time would be spread very thin. DJ and I are working very hard to get all of our food storage together. We are well on our way. We have almost 500 lbs of wheat. 100 lbs of rice and the same of beans. We have other things as well but I won't bore you all with the details. :) I have become a coupon shopper as much as possible. I love love love this new website I found dealstomeals.com they take all the adds and then give you recipes for the week that include the cheap things from the ads. They also have many great food storage ideas and recipes as well. My most exciting thing at the moment is that my husband and I are planning a trip to Florida in November and I can hardly wait to spend a whole week with him!!

Well we are down to two weeks of school this year. My kids are driving me bananas! They are so restless and ready to have a summer break. They are noisy and mean to each other all the time. We have a couple of field trips planned and then we have a bunch of other themed days that will help keep them going as well. I am sure I will miss my kids later but I am sure ready to start a new year. I really do love teaching. It is very exciting to me and I love watching the change in my students from beginning to end. Good luck to all those other teachers out there nearing the end of the year.

Can I tell you my newest frustration? I cannot figure out how to allow people to comment on my blog. I have gone into settings and clicked on everything I can see to allow the comments. But it never seems to work. So if anyone has any grand ideas I would love the help. Hmmm I guess the only problem is no one can comment so how will someone tell me how to fix it?

My husband checked out the blog yesterday and told me I am a lazy because I have not posted since last month and that I needed to post again. I have been planning on doing it for quite some time and just never remember when I actually have the time to do it. I will have to get a picture so everyone can see these m&ms I bought for my mom and my sister for mothers day. They are really cool. I took a picture of my niece and had them put on the m&ms and it turned out great. They are really cute and Arya (my niece) really thinks they are cool. She points at them and says "baby" and loves eating her "m's". I personally think they were the best mothers day gift ever! Who would not want their cute little girl on their m&m's?

Wow it has been a long time since I posted. DJ is home with a new job and loving it. He is home every night and I love having him home. We have turned into mushy people again. He kisses me more and I love to be close to him more. It is funny the things that happen in our lives, you never realize how many blessing can come from something that seems very small. It always surprises me. Someday maybe I will learn. At the time he got his CDL and then decided to go long haul driving, we knew that it will be temporary and knew that it would lead to a new and better local job. It was hard to have him gone and we learned a lot. Now he is home with a good job at a good company with a great future. We have been waiting for 4 years for a company like this. Everything is looking up and we are so excited.

I don't really think that anyone reads my blog. But I am having a pretty good time writing. I am not very good at keeping up with my posts. I also have a pretty boring life. I don't have any kids of my own and I am starting to wonder if it will ever happen. My husband is gone basically all the time. I have not seen him for more than two and a half weeks really. It is hard and I don't like it. I want him home and I want to have the life we are hoping for in the future now. I am tired of waiting. Another thing I am tired of is our new president. I am tired of him being such a downer. Can we please show some optimism!!! That is one of the things I am most grateful for being a member of the LDS faith. Our prophet is always a great source of comfort and teaches optimism in all things. Can we please find the good in the world and The United States of America and the people who call it home? I am tired of hearing how horrible we all are! Lead our country to good instead of the things that are going on now that might likely lead to very hard and tough times that could have been avoided. I think I feel a little better now. To anyone who is reading this thanks for listening. I got my frustrations out and I really do feel a little better sending them off into cyber space.

We are searching for an apartment. It is exciting and stressful and probably a couple other emotions in there as well. I work in Riverton and so we are trying to find something close to there. The biggest problem I am running into is that we have a dog and there are some apartments that don't want animals. Most of the apartments that do take animals are fairly expensive. We are planning to move at the end of april to the middle of may. It will be a lot of fun to be out of my grandpa's house. We have been there every since we have been married and are past ready to be out. We love my grandpa but we are more than ready to be out and in our own place. If anyone knows of any apartments let me know and wish me luck!!

Well my hubby has now been a long haul trucker for about a month. It has been really interesting. I have cried a lot, had a lot of free time, and been able to watch the shows that I want to watch. The biggest transition has been sleeping. DJ is not really a snorer or a noisy sleeper but it is amazing how quiet it is with him gone. We also have a dog, Sadie. She is very cute and I love having her around for company while DJ is gone except during the night. She is really having a hard time sleeping with DJ gone. The first night he was gone she sat on the end of the bed and when I called her over to go to sleep she gave me the funniest look that said to me "are you crazy we don't go to bed without daddy." It has been a month and we go through this every night. I don't know if she will ever get used to it. The time apart has been good for us. I love having him around and this will just make me love him more. I am very excited to have him home at a local driving job so he can be home every night, but I am grateful for the time apart to show me how to cherish the time we have together.

Yesterday I started teaching again. I am in a year round school and have been off track since before Christmas. It has been a really long break. I was ready to go back about a week and a half ago. Now I am so used to being home, I am having a hard time getting up to go to work. My class is pretty good this year. I teach first grade. I love teaching the younger kids. I have 23 in my class this year. Not really a bad size. Last year I had 27 so 5 less kids is a lot less noise. Teaching reading is really fun and something that they all want at this age so they are still pretty motivated. Also they still think I am really cool so that helps as well. They all came back yesterday and had about 500 things they had to tell me since they last saw me. They are all still pretty cute and fun to be around. I think I will end up writing a lot about my class. It is my life and I am there everyday. I even dream about my kids and school. It is kinda sad sometimes but it comes with the job.

Well this is the first post. I have never been a blogger before. This is all thanks to Amanda who put the idea in my head. We will see how good I am at posting. There are no guarantees that this will be interesting or up to date but I will do my best.
